Applications for the 2022-23 Community Leadership Council are no longer being accepted. We look forward to announcing those selected and hope you stay engaged with our campaign as we prepare to advocate for children and youth in New York!
Our campaign is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids Community Leadership Council.
We are calling on youth, parents, and caregivers to join our council and help us create a statewide network of community advocates who have experience with mental/behavioral health issues and are familiar with the needs of children and youth.
Our goal is to create a powerful movement of parents, caregivers and youth who are fighting to improve access to mental and behavioral health supports in New York State.
If Selected, You Will:
- Be asked to participate as a member of our council from October 2022 – June 2023, with an opportunity to continue beyond our first year.
- Receive A Stipend
- Receive Compensation for Workshops and Skill-base Trainings You Participate In
- Meet monthly to develop policy priorities on mental/behavioral health issues, share resources, create opportunities to advocate on issues important to you.

About the Application Process
Our application asks you a series of questions about yourself and your experiences in addition to contact information. We also require all applicants who wish to be considered to attend one information session either on October 4th, 5th, or 13th at 6pm or October 12th at 4pm.
These information sessions will be your opportunity to get us to know a little more about you, learn about how you work in a group and what your strengths are, learn about some of the expectations about being a member of the council, and answer any questions you have.
After you submit your application, staff representing the Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids Campaign (at CCC New York, FTNYS, and CBHNY) will review your application. We will make final decisions on your application and let you know those decisions the week of October 17th.
